Blender 3D modeling and animation
I successfully completed a comprehensive Blender course on Udemy that guided me through the entire 3D creation pipeline from the basics of interface navigation and modeling to finished renders and animations. Throughout the course, I built multiple hands-on projects that strengthened my practical skills and creative confidence with Blender.
Key skills developed:
3D Modeling: Creating detailed objects and environments using essential mesh tools and modifiers.
Texturing & Materials: Applying textures and materials to bring models to life with realistic surfaces and visual detail.
Lighting & Rendering: Setting up light sources and rendering scenes for both artistic and professional presentation.
Animation Basics: Animating objects and understanding keyframes, motion paths, and simple scene animations.
Scene Composition: Arranging models, camera angles, and lighting to create polished 3D compositions and project deliverables.
Throughout the course, I completed all assigned projects, each reflecting a different aspect of Blender’s workflow reinforcing practical mastery of the Blender interface and 3D creation fundamentals.
Modular Dungeon Environment
A modular dungeon environment created using reusable assets and grid-based design principles. This project focused on clean topology, consistent scale, and assembling multiple scene variations efficiently from a limited asset set; a common workflow in game and environment design.
Low-Poly Dinosaur Character
A stylized low-poly dinosaur model built from scratch with an emphasis on silhouette, proportion, and optimized geometry. This project demonstrates my understanding of low-poly modeling techniques suitable for games and real-time applications.
Rigging & Basic Animation
A fully rigged character with clean bone hierarchy and weight painting, followed by basic animations using keyframes. This project covers fundamental animation principles and character movement readiness for games or animated scenes.
UV Mapping & Texturing
Complete UV unwrapping and texture setup for 3D assets, ensuring efficient texture space usage and distortion-free layouts. This project strengthened my ability to prepare models for texturing, shading, and export into production pipelines.
Cartoon Head Sculpt
A stylized cartoon head sculpt created using Blender’s sculpting tools. The focus was on form, anatomy simplification, and expressive features, translating 2D cartoon aesthetics into a polished 3D model.
